Oh, Lord, this is a SCREAM! Ain't it the truth...hahahaha!
I wonder how some of our own members would do in such a post.
arn: To forum members - the light bulb went out last night at 17:42 GMT. It was subsequently changed at 18:04 GMT. Thanks for your patience.
Doctor Q: Was wondering about that! Thanks arn...if you like, I can set up a script and an auto-thread that directly links to the light bulb in question, create a thread, inform the users, and change it out for you, while placing posts in alpha order by user name. Can you "sticky" that in the appropriate forum?
eyelikeart: arn, have you thought about, perhaps, changing the color of the bulb next time? Kinda ticks me off that people don't take advantage of an opportunity to add a little color to their lives now and then...just a thought! oh, and can you post a photo?
Mr. Anderson: There has been a preponderance of such phenomena lately. I was in such a position recently, and discovered that by replacing the filament with dental floss that the occurrence of changing out the actual bulb was less.
Awimoway: There was a discussion about that very topic on NPR this morning, and it got me thinking...so I listed out my own Top 10 reasons I should go back and change my user name so people know what song I'm referring to.
jelloshotsrule: THIS....could have been handled a lot differently. A LOT differently....
wdlove: Words aren't enough to thank you, arn, for the continued caring and thoughtful manner in which you govern MacRumors. Knowing that you are changing out light bulbs makes me feel so good inside. I hope you never again have to be so inconvenienced...you're ok, aren't you?
tazo: That happened to me once, too, but I showed that light bulb who was boss!! Yay, increased my post count!
voicegy: At San Diego City Schools, where I work, this happens so frequently it's not even funny. I've been involved in some meetings about trying to discover a better business methodology regarding burned out bulbs, but they never go anywhere...for some reason, people just don't listen to me.
(apologies to all involved...all in fun, of course! anyone wanna pick up on the theme?):p

Jeffhatfield: You know, you kids are really lucky with your new halogen lightbulbs nowadays. Changing them once every two years? I mean, when I was young, we didnt have 'halogen' lightbulbs, just the regular 60 watt incandescents. Those things went out every three months or so! Can you imagine that?
On top of that, Apple needs to pick up the slack and come out with a way for your computer to change your lightbulb for you. What happened to their so-called "innovation reputation?" If they arent careful, they'll be playing catch-up again to Microsoft, who no doubt is already in planning stages of such a technology. At least thats what I'm hearing around Silicon Valley.
Mr. Anderson: The Lightwave logo used to be a light bulb. Hellacool!

I'm thinking in lines of the stapler app, someone's going to have to make the lightbulb app. Do it in flash and choose the number of things you want to help do the changing....;)

Yes real lucky, they make the electric meter spin real fast compared to cheap incandescents -- and are a good source of house fires in active environs.
And when you try to save money and get long life and cheap to operate florescent replacement, they interfere with those IR remote controls -- sometimes.
So you end up paying more monthly for your eternal laziness, or interfere with you couch potato lifestyle when you try to save money.
The inhumanity...

Don't forget of MacRumors -- there are those that'll try to hijack the discussion and turn it into a political debate.

How many users post in a thread that links to a site which explans a hypothetical situation where a person posts that a light bulb was changed?
Too Many!

Has little to nothing to do with mac's. Just on the news one night I heard him say it, and it's been my quote ever since. (As you may have guessed he is the Premier of the state I live in, and is rather popular.

This is in the 'community discussion' fourm, hence doesn't have to do with macs at all.
