Is there a way to get a wireless connection password?

If there is some kind of application or hack thing.

If you are talking about someone's private internet connection and you do not have permission, you would be breaking the law if you did this.

Did your friend challenge you to get into the network? If not, why not just ask for the password so you can use it? Sounds fishy to me . . .
