 maybe you need to look up the definition of 'safari' it has little to do with animals and it makes a lot more sense than firefox, but maybe not quite as much as internet explorer.

You can rename an app just like any other file, and these changes will be reflected in the dock, but still I would recommend against it.

You can change the name of an app and its logo by right clicking and selecting get info. However, it will still say Safari in the menus and such unless you alter the package contents of the app. I don't recommend doing this however.

So... you're saying you have no idea what a safari is?
"An adventure trip, typically in Africa, using off-road vehicles and tent-like accommodations for the purpose of viewing and photographing wildlife. 2. Originally, a hunting trip."

I'm not saying animals aren't involved I'm just showing that it has absolutely nothing to do with a zoo.

You're really not going to use, what is in many people's opinion, the best browser because you don't like the name? Because you have a wrong understanding of what the name means?

I'll never buy a Ford automobile because Lincoln was killed at Ford Theatre and every time a Ford rolls by it reminds me of that fact.
Yes... I'm joking and the original poster must be joking too...? Err right... you are joking...?

Then by all means don't.
Although you need to strongly reconsider your views of the name "Safari." I'm assuming you think "Internet Explorer" is a good name, right? After all, it makes a great deal of sense: you use it to explore the internet. ...Now consider the noun equivalent of "explore" which would be "expedition." Now consider the synonyms of "expedition," namely journey, voyage, odyssey, and of course, Safari.
So Explorer, Safari, there you go.

Can I change the name of Leopard? It reminds me of a coat? Also I need to change the name of Apple also. It reminds me of crabapple sauce. There is some in a grocery store near my house.

...And while we're at it, there's also Netscape Navigator. I don't know about Bob, but I'm starting to see a trend. ;)
Besides, Safari matches quite nicely with the cat theme of OS X.

Judging by the extremely mature comments by the OP,
this thread will probably end up in the wasteland very soon.
hehehe
ok im sorry guys. i apologise.
but its fun tho right?
but im totally serious about not liking safari name.
ive looked at it...but it just doesnt appeal to me.....yeah i must test it out properly....to be fair, theyre pretty much the same.
i just put a fastdial add on to my firefox and now its got that speed dial page, so firefox can now do it like opera....ive been using opera and firfox at same time in two separate "spaces"....somtimes get confusing...
now im thinking one browser is better......
can safari do this speed dial thing, where all your favs are laid out on first page?

No, I use Safari for its resizable text boxes, it has the best spell check and the way it handles tabs.

It appears the OP is up to the same pattern of trolling that got another thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=542538&page=2) on this topic closed.
