Does my TV have HD Built in?

My family bought a 65" Widescreen Mitsubishi Diamond Series TV Christmas of 2001 (might have been 2000, I will find out.)

I have read places that it does indeed have a HD tuner built in, and I have read other places that it doesn't.

If it doesn't, we are going to buy one for my dad on his birthday. Mitsubishi makes one called the HD-1000. Do you guys have any suggestions?

We are looking to spend around 350$ (even if its on eBay).

I seriously doubt it has an HDTV tuner built-in. Most TV's advertise "HDTV ready", you'll rarely see one with the tuner in it already.

i read that as HD meaning Hard Drive, not Hi-Def at first.

what does it say in the manual??? surely it must say something, whether it be HD-ready or otherwise....

if you could provide a model number, this would probably be easier to track down.

I found a owners book, and it has 4 model numbers on the front. Two start with 65 (for 65") so I will type those...

In that case, what HD Receiver would you guys reccomend for my TV? Under 350$....
