It's just as safe, as long as you're sure that your 10.2 is safe (not bootleg)

well.. id like to make a correction...

it is safe, however.. its usually not a good idea becsuse YOU WILL NOT be able to install the final version of 10.2 over your beta of 10.2, and it is not a good idea to install 10.2 if you use your computer for important stuff, cause its buggy...

i would be against installing 10.2 over your existing install. i would create a new partition or use an extrernal drive.

.. but didnt due to that no upgrade to 10.2 final thing. I have some configurations on my Mac that i dont really want to set up again if I dont have to. (LotisNotes and VPN stuff). Im glad I actuly read the fine print before I hit install.

You can still upgrade to 10.2 final...just not directly.

All it takes is a little process I like to call "reformatting your hard drive".:D
