There was a thread a while back about enabling FCP Realtime effects on slow machines:

How do you edit the file. The only way I've found to even access the file name is ResEdit under OS 9. I'm using OS X, and so I have no clue how to mod the file. Please help!!

Thanks in advance

Its a simple Apple Script file, try opening it from any text editor. Also check

www.xlr8yourmac.com they'll have the files you need with all the instructions

How do I find the exact file, it's a sub folder of Final Cut Pro, so no Word Processing app can find it? They all treat FCP as an app, and won't let me access the sub-folders there in.

If you're using OS X, then it's simple to find.

Control-click (or right click, if you've got a two-button mouse) on FCP, and click on view package contents. Look around in the subsequent folders for a bit, and you should be able to find the file you're looking for.

yeah.. its basically just a preference that tells fcp about how fast your processor is, so it doesnt load it down too much.. really not too complex..
