Half of the screen looks like a barcode.

i just want my iphone to work...
Then don't throw it out of the 51st floor window then!
And while we're on the subject of damage, how much harm do you think you could have caused an unfortunate passer-by had it hit them?

You fraking idiot...No case will protect your iPhone from 51 ****** FLOORS!!
Otterbox says that it'll protect it from drops, not plummeting from 600 feet....

No joke there's the screen looks like a barcode at that side, i cannot take a great picture on my iMac due to super-bright screen which i could dim if i used my other keyboard but i'm not using that 1, anyway there's proof i'm not lying so can people stop thinking its a joke.
There is no passers by it hit a grassy area behind his apartment building that is overgrown and not in use....

Please show me where Otterbox makes the claim that it will survive a fall of 51 stories or of about 400 feet.

Otterbox is good from 50 stories, not 51. There lies your problem.

"The OtterBox for iPhone® 3G Defender™ Series follows in the Defender Series tradition by offering stylish and sophisticated protection. First, a thin, clear membrane covers your Touch Screen to help prevent scratches and dings. Second is a hard, strong Polycarbonate skeleton that surrounds your device. Wrapped around all of this is a Silicone skin that absorbs bump and shock, protecting against the accidental drop from 50 stories*. Included with the case is a ClipStand holster."
*Please note that 51 stories is not covered under our warranty
Sorry man, had to...

Sorry, but somebody throwing an iPhone out of a 51st story window is a joke. How'd you even come in contact with enough money to buy one of these anyways?

Honestly how dense can you get?
People like you who treat their valuables like this do not deserve to own the iPhone or any device for that matter.

Well at the very least I hope your lesson has been learned , but somehow I doubt it judging by your responses to other comments in this joke of a thread.
I feel your loss but seriously ...what did you expect ?

I dropped mine 52 stories today after seeing this thread. So far the only problem is that one of the speakers on the bottom doesn't seem to be working.

You deserve this for being so careless. What did you expect to get out of dropping it out of a building? Just a cool story to tell people if it did come out without a scratch? Well that didn't work. Now all you have is a cool story to tell that will make people laugh at you.
oh yeah and a f***ked up iPhone.

And here comes the ambiguity. In the thread title he says 51 stories but in the message he says 51st floor. Which one is true? Hmm.....

Serious is shelling out money for a device that you're entirely stupid enough to throw out of a 51st story window. You are bar none hands down take the cake the most idiotic person I have ever met.
~edit~ Too mean. You're just a moron. Good day.

I am calling trolling here, but on the off chance you aren't.... I mean come on? What is the thought process on this? Never mind throwing or dropping anything out of a 51st floor window. Weren't you the least bit concerned about damaging something or somebody else?

And they didn't realise you had chucked it out a Window?
Jesus Christ they must be stupider than you.
You don't deserve that phone at all, pay for your mistakes.
On another note, try chucking it out the Window again, lightening doesn't strike twice does it?

Why in the hell would someone think that would work?
51 stories man!
If theres no padding the iphones still going to feel the G's, its simple physics!
Sure the case may survive but all the components from the inside of the phone are going from probably somewhere near terminal velocity (51 stories is REALLY up there) to 0 in a fraction of a second.
