There are no major flaws. but it is a little dirty and has few scratches. but the screen for the most part is very nice. no dead pixels that i can see.
if i wipe the hard drive, how much money could i get for this ibook?

Well your battery life seems to be at about 50% of its original full charge mAh. And depending on the size of your hard drive, I would say you could expect around $650 for this laptop. This also depends on if you have the original box, CDs, Apple OEM charge cable, etc etc.

Check out the guide on Mac2Sell (http://www.mac2sell.net). That should point you in the general direction.

the box is long gone.
but i have the OEM charger and the extension for that charger.
i have the book and all the cd's too.
plus a wireless mouse i bought with it.
Hard drive has 55.77 Gb capacity.
so a new battery is probably a good thing to buy, but other that that... would it be a stretch to say $700?

I would say $350. It's possible to buy an older Macbook for $500 so I wouldn't expect too much for an iBook.

Yeah, sorry... I do rather think that's a stretch. You might get lucky (i.e. exploit an ignorant buyer), but it's not a fair price, even when things like eBay fees are taken into account.
