Speech problem in OS X

When I use TextEdit to speek text (text read by the computer, using the speech command.) It starts out reading the text fine but in the next paragraph the speech becomes wierd. You can't understand what the computer is saying, I have system 10.1.4 Does anyone else have this problem, if so do you know how I can fix it? Thanks, Bye!:confused:

I just had TextEdit speak two fairly lengthy paragraphs, and couldn't reproduce the problem. Is it talking gibberish or something?

I have this problem too but in AIM version 4.5.494 and I am running Os 10.1.4

Yes gibberish! All I get is gibberish..... should someone call Apple about this?
