Did you guys notice that Steve did that right after that guy in the Questions and Answers section asked him some pretty annoying question (now I can't remember which one, that figures... :rolleyes: ) But I definitely think that was intentional. I laughed pretty good at that! :D

I read about Spartacus in MacAddict and, yes, the product did have a 5-digit price tag. When I first read about it, only three letters hit my mind; I'll be damned if I mention them here! :)

Besides, it had a small hard drive and hardly a whole lot of speed. The only thing that caught me was the price tag.

What exactly was the prupose of the monster anyways?

What's more amazing that some people actually paid that amount of money for a computer.

I sometimes see 1 on second hand pages.
They think it's made out of gold or something.
I can buy a new G4 for that.

I think that it may have a somewhat high price because of the integrated AM/FM radio and additional subwoofer. But, IMO, a radio sounds really ridiculous when dealing with a top dog computer. Just go out and buy a separate system for that stuff.

And I am not going to buy it just because it is a collector's item and may have "potential" pricewise. The only thing I like about it is the unique layout, almost like an all-in-one.

I'm wondering if maybe the type of display or ultra-thin hardware made price complications harder to compromise with.

I thought it was the 20th anniversary Mac. I may be wrong though, but that's just me.

But still, macintosh is not 20 years old anymore, so the thing is still wrong.
