online with windows

I play mohaa online. If my friend buys one for windows, will he be able to play on the same servers as I do. What I intend to ask is , all those players on the gamespy severs, are they all using macs or they are a mixed breed of macs, windows, ps2 etc,,?

They are a mixed breed of everything, Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Linux, Solaris, Windows, you name it.

What matters is if you are both running the same software and game.
