THIS IS WHY the iphone needs a dang video recorder!

If you read the guy's interview, pay attention to the second question/answer....or read below as I've copied it for ya:

"And you just ran and grabbed a camera or what?"

"It was my cell phone, so my co-worker was snapping pictures with his iPhone and I was taping with my cell phone and there was a third guy who was just watching. It was like the Little Rascals just peeping over the wall giggling and running away and then coming back. It lasted about a good 20 minutes."

His buddy who had an iphone could ONLY take photos....yet this dude's cell phone allowed him to capture video.

Not only that, but the poor iphone guy couldn't even MMS the pics.

sad....truely sad....

Yes, that is why the iPhone needs video recording, in fact Apple should only allow that to be filmed, nothing else.

Well it's your choice if you don't want to jailbreak. If all you want is the video recorder than jailbreaking isn't worth it. I'm sure that that feature will come to us "officially" sooner or later.

All of the videos I have recorded with cycorder have looked awesome (assuming I have adequate lighting). There are a ton of phones that record video that have a worse camera.

I don't need to, I've seen videos taken from Cycorder to know that unless you move the phone slowly it warps thanks to the low quality CMOS sensor. I have to be honest, it's better looking than I thought it would be.

Let me clarify. The picture looks fine when still, it's just the motion blur that is unacceptable in my opinion.

I think its one thing to take a video, its another thing to send it to people over the internet and expect them to have more self control that you.

It's how rumors and gossip work, the line " OK promise not to tell anyone" really doesn't work online.

That's exactly my point. I had video on my SE phone and it was freaking horrid. This is exactly why Apple doesn't have an video recorder app yet and I don't blame them.
