Freeware AAC Encoder

Has anyone managed to track down a freeware AAC Encoder for Mac? Sure, with QT6 you can use Import and Export but that's only for people who have QT5 Pro and I'm not about to risk using a key from MSJ (http://www.macserialjunkie.com) or the like just so that I can encode AAC on my mac...

Anyone got a freeware encoder???

well, I wish MPEG4IP (http://www.mpeg4ip.net/) didn't discontinue their Mac support...
