From the Mac Rumors Forum FAQ:
Why does it say my email address is banned?
We occassionally ban entire domains (such as hotmail or yahoo) due to abusive registrations. Try a different email address

It's quite unfortunite, but understandable. I couldn't register from my real email address (@yahoo.com), so I had to go through my ancient @bored.com address that I only use for getting spam. Quite the shame for those of us going through sbc/yahoo ISPs.

when you go far enough, you'll find that *everything* is an ISP, someplace. i'm pretty sure my pet hedgehog is an ISP in bejing.
i remember banning entire ISPs back in the days of IRC. my, how that enraged the masses. they'd go to a friend's house just to flame us
