Piece of s*** starting at more than the current fastest PowerMac.

If there will ever be another cube mock-up, it has to look something like this (http://www.cube-zone.com/) (i.e. no G5 handles, and no enlarged circular holes throughout the front and back), and must have lots of bright sky-blue lighting for when the computer room is dark. A lot of people have made mocks for the Cube with these puncutre holes in mind, as well as the handles, but, for a 6" by 6" by 6" cube protected by a larger glass frame, those handles are unacceptable. Also the "holes" need to be a lot more packed together. Something like thick diagonal window screen lines would make for a more modernized appearance and feel for a G5 Cube.

Still, in my mind, there will only be the one and only upgradable G4 Cube.

No way rower, that unit was cool, had a heat sink working the correct way Heat rises. why they hang em sideways is illogical. this thing could hold 3 hard drives, slide out motherboard,cordless mouse,keyboard and microphone, etc. Now look at the monitor-ultracool-Face it if Apple was this cool they couldnt keep up with demand. Coolest design i have seen and in fact after seeing this and then seeing what Apple really made( G5 towers I was sick)) I was ready to buy but aluminum doesnt invoke any kind of emotion,desire etc. reminds me of a space heater from the 50s:( Imac crt brought out emotion & feelings & desire.:) so does this.

I think that all the designs are very creative. My preference is still the current desktop. It would be great to have a shell of the Cube size for either a Firewire External Drive or if that wasn't possible a tissue box.

I like britboys cube design, and don'thurtme's first monitor design. While the second design is certainly futuristic I don't know if its doable yet :-)

It's from a link KC posted. Someone took a G4 cube, removed the innards, and built a new case for it. He really should put that thing on ebay! :eek:

I am really hoping for a cube and if the price is between $999 and $1500 dependent on the specs its ok but everything beyond :mad:
