The attack is done by a user (and friends) who has placed his demands and wants Jelsoft to comply. Jelsoft doesn't do this because giving in to blackmail isn't the solution. Jelsoft is aware of the person behind the attacks and is working together with authoraties on trying to stop this person.

The attack is a DDoS attack towards the web server of Jelsoft which happens a few times per week resulting in the hosting provider VenturesOnline being forced to block some IP ranges. Unfortunatly this means that users who have nothing to do with this attack, who happen to have an IP in this IP range, are also blocked from the web site.

So, either the site is up and you are lucky and not blocked and you can reach it when it is not under attack. Or you are blocked from the web site or the site is under attack and unreachable. Before you send emails, try to reach the site at different times a few times. Or try using a proxy to surf to the site.

If the site stays unreachable for you, please contact support@vbulletin.com "

i saw your link for anti-deviant art and would like to offer some free hosting should you need it. Lets just say the deviantart folks have been less than pleasant to my forum. i had to ban about a dozen of them once because their attacks got so severe.

anyway if you need some hosting help let me know.
