So about three years ago i got introduced to torrents. Now, i am a big fan of torrents and i have nothing against them. About a two years ago, i was downloading some torrents. EA Sports NHL 06 just came out that week so i decided to download it before buying if for my xbox to see if it was anygood. As it was downloading a week later i got an email from my internet provider (Rogers) saying that this is wrong for me to download this torrent and this is EA Sports property and blah blah blah i cant really remember. It went directly to my parents email because there the ones paying for the internet bill so they got all worries and what not. I was wondering if this really ment anything. I mean thousands of people download torrents all day, why do they have to pick me. Is it normal to get an email from your internet provider? I have still been downloading torrents and i haven't received an email yet. Ever since that day i have been more careful on choosing my torrent sites and i often only download from private sites.

Thanks
Pete

my ISP here is aust doesnt really do much about it, sure they could stop it if they wanted to but there are no laws about it and whatnot.

if the email didnt say anything about being banned or warned, just keep doing it. if they warn you, then stop it!!! but yea its really your own decision.
