It's Friday!
This thread's for spamming with aimless jibber jabber if you're getting in the weekend mood.*
After all, it's the full moon today at about 4pmGMT/11amEST.
http://www.nightskyinfo.com/sky_highlights/hunters_moon/full_moon_small.jpg
It's the 12th of December. On this day in history:
• The first motel — the 'Motel Inn' — was opened in 1925 in San Luis Obispo, California, by Norman Bates.
• Frank Sinatra was born in Hoboken, N.J. in 1915. Blue eyes have never been the same.
• Joseph Hayne Rainey becomes the first black American sworn in to the House of Representatives in 1870. He was a Republican and he used to be a barber.
• In 1901, the first trans-Atlantic radio transmission was received. It was for extra cheese, no anchovies.
• This is a Christmas tree made from beer bottles... (http://ugly-christmas-trees.com/trees/beer-bottle/beer-bottle-tree.jpg)
• And this is a kitty demonstrating the principle of the working week. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hhW76BIwP4&)
*Like the last thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=611946), this thread is going to be wastelanded at the end of the day.
Once it's sent to the wasteland, any posts within will not count towards personal post totals.

It's the soap (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=583708) or lack thereof, can't remember which camp you fell into.
So why is it that every time I bring 2 clementines to work (small orange-like fruits) I either grab 2 mediocre ones or one good and one bad (never 2 good) and the first one I eat is always the good one, if there is a good one?

On Friday your creative side will shine forth with exceptional ideas.
so far I'm not feeling creative, nor have I had any exceptional ideas.
Of course I've also seen a fortune cookie that spoke of someone needing my social skills so I'm more than a little skeptical about their ability to predict the future. I mean, who really needs a guy to stand quietly in the corner drinking beer?

Speaking of lame fake Christmas trees. My grandmother shipped me out a miniature fake tree. It's like 2-3" tall. Every years I tell her I don't want any junk like this, as I usually end up throwing it away come spring after sitting in a box all winter. My mother told her I didn't want anything like this. She called and again I told her I did not want it. To the point I said "Grandma, I love the thought, I do, but I have no use for a fake Christmas tree and it will only end up in the trash". Then this week it came in and I just kicked it right down to storage.
Luckily I found a friend that would like the tree. I just hate throwing stuff like that away, things that are new in the box. Usually Salvation Army and Goodwill will stop taking Christmas related things around Christmas. So I am usually forced to either stock pile until next year or just throw it out.
So I get to go out in the cold today and deliver a fake tree to s friend. So I guess this year it did kind of work.

You'd be surprised to know that a lot of people don't care one way or another if you're gay. It doesn't make you any more special than a straight person.

The guy that added me is an AVA fan - he is a premium member of their site. All the AVA fans add one another as a friend regardless if they know the person or not. With modlife, the purpose is to make new friends based on what type of music you and the other person like. However, if you wish, you can reject a friend request if you do not know the person and are not willing to add a stranger. Of the 200+ ppl I have on my friends list, I talk to about 120 of them on a weekly basis thru texting, AIM, Modmail, tagging etc.
You'd be surprised to know that a lot of people don't care one way or another if you're gay. It doesn't make you any more special than a straight person.
