Ok, so if me and my friend both have the iPod touch 2g and we both buy some apps. If i go on to his computer and copy his apps to my computer and vice versa, is this 'legal'? since we don't have those proof of purchase receipts from apple. Figure I'd ask befor we did it and got in trouble. And sorry if this has been covered in a previous post, i did i quick search before i posted this.

It is not legal, you should purchase your own apps.

You can only authorize the iPod to one account at a time... so it will only be able to run apps and DRM'd songs or video from one account at a time. You could, I guess, just authorize your iPod against his account instead of yours, and this isn't clearly illegal from what I've seen (YMMV), but this would lock you out of your own purchased content.

Beyond that, don't discuss piracy or ways to controvert Apple's DRM on Macrumors.
