I was browsing for how thin a new iPod Touch would be, and went to Apple's page for case size specifications. This image is in the upper right corner of the page. http://developer.apple.com/ipod/cases.html Could this be a new iPhone/iPod?

There's a picture of an iPhone right below it on the page. It looks a fair bit wider.

Fair enough. Maybe I'm just going crazy.

I think since the phone is half way in the case, there's a bit of an "elongating illusion" at work.

Safe to assume. Fail.

Are you serious? Give it up. It's over. No nano. And that picture is just a regular iPhone (the only iPhone).

Yeah, that's not an iPhone nano. Plus, have you missed the coverage? No iPhone Nano.

I think what I said may have been true. Apple sent false information to case manufactures that there would be an iPhone nano, basically getting back at them for leaking the information last time :)

another note:
the LV iphone cases are only available for the first gen iphone as well.

Yeah ... I think some partners are no longer part of the "inner circle". And it's just as well, IMO.

Wow... Figured (hoped) this dimwitted idea would die after no mention at the keynote.
My luck has never really been that good.

 I honestly do not understand this position at all. Do you also believe that there will never be another Mini, iMac, or Mac Pro? None of those were discussed at the Keynote, either.
Based on the logic that "no keynote announcement = no product", Apple will never release another product. They've dropped MacWorld, so this was their last Keynote.
You know what that means? The 17" Unibody MacBook Pro will be the last product Apple ever releases!
And while I don't think that's an iPhone nano shown, it's worth mentioning that the dimensions are not right at all for the regular iPhone. They don't have the same ratio as the iPhone. I assume Apple just stretched the image for some reason, but the question becomes: why? ;)

Okay. On that logic, they didn't announce the release date of their USB-powered sex robot that converts into an electric powered gas efficient super bike either.
When should we start looking for that in the Apple store there, D-X?

My sources say October 2009.

No, you've got the logic wrong. To take your example, I would argue that the fact that they did not announce a USB-powered sex robot today does not mean they never will. They may still do so in the future.
(I have my doubts about a sex robot, though...)
Whether or not you agree or disagree that an iPhone would/should/could happen, do not confuse the logic: no announcement today is not in any way, shape, or form, proof of that position. Apple has the capability to make an announcement any time they wish: today was not their only opportunity, ever, to announce a product.
They could announce (that is, they have the capability to make an announcement - whether they will is irrelevent to the logic at work here) a sex robot tomorrow. So saying "they didn't announce a sex robot today, ergo they never will" makes no sense.

FYI, you don't have to say whether or not you agree or disagree because it's a redundant statement; whether or not would imply one disagrees. On a more general note, the sex robot is exactly how the majority of us view the nano. It's something that doesn't exist, it's something that has little practical value (well I suppose one could argue it might), and something that has been thought up without even the slightest bit of physical evidence to boot.

A saw a case maker from China say it was coming. HELLO!
Apple wants to make money, what are you? Crazy? Money! Sex robots! How can it not make money! Case makers!

That seems pretty logical, they want to make money alright, but they want to build up expectation and anxiety, or they just thought they'd milk dry the macworld enthusiasm first :Dhttp://www.seoagora.com/img/589/d08l1104oulu/smiley2.gifhttp://www.seoagora.com/img/308/s08e1024rvou/champagne.gif
