Powermac delivery delay?

I ordered a Powermac G5 at the beginning of this month.
Today I got this email telling me that my Powermac will be delayed and that it will be send to me on 10. march or before.

The strange thing is that the 10.th is not that far away, so why do they inform me about the "delay" ?

Are new ones coming, and I got this mail because my powermac is from the new batch? I doubt this but this mail is a bit strange.

This is my first order from Apple Store (Germany) so maybe this is normal business practice, can anyone comment?

I had ordered the Mac on 19/02/2004 but I had a delay because of the money wire transfer till 01/03/2004.

i recall reading the other day that apple is making correction to the noise problem that was happening with the power macs. your delay might be because they are sending out replacements to those that had a problem. that would be the most probable reason for the delay.
