Hi,

I'm trying to sell some of my old items to buy a Mac Mini, unfortunately, they're not selling. What do you think of them, too pricey?

All help is appreciated, thanks.

Good luck getting that much for the monitor, but the laptop/desktop don't look too terrible

I'm not trying to sell them here, just what people think of them. What price should I put for the monitor? £100?

Change the auctions to 99p opening bid with no reserve.

I could loose out on a lot of money then. I don't have much money to be lost or else I won't have enough to buy a Mac Mini.

I start every auction at $0.99 with NR, but I usually can guess what they will sell for. idk what any of these item are really worth...

Monitor is way too expensive. PCs should start at 99p. You can always build a hackintosh keeping the samsung monitor.

Why should I start the PC's with a 99p bid? They could go for £100. I can't afford to loose that amount of money.

Because they are not going to go for 99p... The start price will generate interest. I sold an iMac, iPhone, and several iPods with a 99p start and have never lost out. Even put a reserve on them if you're worried...

OK. I'll give it a think over. Thanks.

Good. Bear in mind there is always the hackintosh route. Costs just the price of a copy of leopard.

I'm not really a lover of Hackintosh.

If I don't make much money on it, I will have to loose the idea of buying a new desk and just get the speakers and Mac Mini. I'll save up for the desk, considering it is only £100.

IKEA is your friend ;)

IKEA isn't my friend as there is no store near my area of Plymouth UK. I don't really fancy a drive up to Bristol in a huge van.

Argos will be my friend in this one.

Yeah, wouldn't it be a shame if the free market determined the value of it instead of setting an arbitrary price that would likely never get a single bid?

Fine, I'll set them both at 99p. Laptop and Desktop.

Would 2 days do the trick?

These look like somewhat low interest items (aka not an iphone or an xbox), so I would leave them for a week, ending in the afternoon on the weekend

I'll end them both on Saturday and then re-list them for one week at 99p.

Agreed. For 99p auctions, the more eyeballs you get on them before the close the better.

It may even be worth the small extra charge for a 10-day auction.
