NEW YORK - Finally, some payback for all that spam:

It's a 2002 Porsche Boxster S that will be the grand prize in an America Online sweepstakes launching Tuesday.

AOL obtained the car in settling a lawsuit against "a guy who by our estimates made more than a million dollars from spamming," said Randall Boe, AOL executive vice president and general counsel.

This is the greatest idea I've ever seen, hand down. I give AOL a huge pat on the back for this one.

I wonder if this is one of the contest entries that'll have the hidden clause that allows them to put you on their telemarketing and SPAM list.

Since telemarketers are finding the easiest way around the "Do Not Call Lists" are to let people sign their rights away during a contest.
