Just before I take the plunge and buy a G4, and upgrade it with a Sonnet 1.4ghz card, just wondering;

Will it be ok for use with Audio production work? (Cubase/Peak etc)
As I dont want any errors/latency probs etc

Or am I safer just buying a G4/733 or something?

i wouldn't think that you would have any problems. I bought a beige G3 266 awhile back, and upgraded the processor to the OWC G3 533, and i haven't had a problem since i installed it. Another reason i think that you shouldn't have any problems is because it would be a more recent version of the G4 chip, so it should in fact benefit your computer.

by the way, who do you plan on buying the upgrade from? I was looking into doing the same thing, but i have a G4 450 Dual. I am not sure if i want to go back to one processor, or wait and buy a dual upgrade card.
