Look what I noticed in Killzone 2 for PS3. Wonder how much Apple paid for this. It even has the black rim around the screen lol.

You have no idea if the paid ANYTHING for a vending machine to be put in a game that doesn't even run on their OS.

I don't know about that one, but in Metal Gear Solid 4 you've got an iPod that you can use to listen to music.

Would they have paid Konami for that? I don't know.

Does it matter? lol

Why would Apple pay one cent to have a tiny image of a demolished iPod in some video game? More likely it's a dig from Sony.

I mean to make the topic title "Apple Paid Millions To Have Easter Egg iPods in Video Games" this isnt the first PS3 game to feature iPods in-game. They paid millions to have iPods and Macs in Metal Gear Solid 4 and I think they may be in Motorstorm 2 too.

The iPod is such a part of everyday culture now, it goes beyond brand placement, it's EVERYWHERE to start with and having one in the burned out world of a game is no different from having car wrecks of a recognisable brand of car etc...

I do admit though, Apple have paid for "subtle to the point of passing people by" advertising before...

Those Airport Ads that didn't really explain much, just looked kind of pretty had no affect on any PC owner I knew at the time for instance.

4 years later, they're all getting Wi-Fi and one of my friends was so eager to tell me the conversation went like this, "I bet I've got something that Apple DEFINITELY haven't thought of first! Wireless networking!"

I told the guy to ask the mac guys in his design department to show him their G4s and that it was advertised about the time the iBooks came out. All I got was "Whatever"

If Apple had been less obscure and "arty" in their advertising over the years and actually told potential switchers what they offered instead of being "different" or just plain patronising with those switch ads, the whole Mac user base would be a lot higher just from the "wow" factor alone.

this is an insult: your post is stupid and to-girly. you have no sense of humor. and yes, you can wear in metal gear solid an ipod and listen your favorite music, so sony may likes apple, and sony/bgm is on itms too.
