I'm wondering if it's safe to disable drivers in the /system/library/extensions folder that my computer does not use. my little imac does not have a radeon or nvidia card (although i wish it did) and i wanted to know if removing these files would
A. free up some system resources
B. be safe
or
C. Be more trouble than it's worth

I would make a back up first before you do it. I tryied to make a extra slim OS X partiton that I was planning on making into a bootable CD-R (but failed) I had to re-install the OS a few times because I cut it back too much and it would panic at boot. I would only do it if you had an extra OS that you can boot off of and go back and recover. I have a partion with an OS on it just for that reason, so if i screw something up, I can just boot off the other drive and fix it.
