Guys,

The AC Adapter of my new Macbook Pro has started making a weird noise. It is not very loud, but is noticeable if you're close to it and is a kind of sizzling. If it is plugged in, then you can hear it, even when you disconnect it from the laptop but keep plugged it in the socket.

Do you have the same issue? I haven't noticed it earlier, so maybe it started doing it recently...

Should I call Apple???

are you using the little fold out prongs, or the cord?

if the fold out possible something is loose in there, try the cord see if that fixes it.

In the meantime, don't leave it plugged in if you're not there, and try to put it in a power strip or something with a breaker/fuse. so in case it does decide to go, hopefully it will loose power before it gets too out of hand.

I am using that little thing instead of the cord.. .But I also tried the cord and the result is still the same: I hear that weird buzzing noise, very hard to notice but it is still there...

Are your power adapters completely silent if you put your ear close to it????
