Powerbook and Jaguar

Hey, I bought a Powerbook g3 quite some time ago and I figured I had some cash to upgrade to a g4 processor. So I get home tonite and it's working on OS 9. I think to myself that i might as well upgrade it to jaguar since it was laying around somewhere. So I put it in, and the apple start up thing comes up, it look beautiful, then suddenly, the picture becomes distorted, I get pissed, and come to the forums. So can anyone help me out here?

The Apple logo came up and then it was distorted? You're processor upgrade might have something to do with it. It's not an original Powerbook G3 is it, because they weren't supported?

I upgraded my g3 processor up to a g4 processor. My powerbook has a bronze keyboard buy the way. (Someone told me that was significant)
