Is there anyway to install OS X Leopard 10.5.6 on an older White Macbook [MB062LL/A] (2.1ghz c2d, 1.5gb ram, intel 950gma) using a newer polycarb Macbook [MB881LL/A] (2ghz, 2gb ram, nvidia 9400m) installation dvd? I read somewhere that the installation dvds that come with macs are specific to the model of mac the user owns, but wanted to know if there was a way around this. I know if all else fails i can download a retail dvd and install it, which i am doing at this moment, but right now it seems like it will take forever to download.

also, would it matter if i downloaded a version of os x that is cracked to work on any intel machine off the HCL?

Stealing OS X is not legal.

Why exactly are you having to install 10.5.6 on an older macbook with the instal DVD's?
