OK. This question may have been asked before, but anyways, I'm curious. What do you guys do for a living?

I, myself, am selling Macs (and therefore hang out at rumor sites, since Apple is not telling me anything... :p)

I'm a maths student (w/ german and spanish units).

When i'm back in the UK though i'll be looking for a job for the summer, perhaps as either a translator or something to do with computers.

I am a student. I now have a summer job... helping out with a teacher at my school's summer school program, and video editing for some "clients". Hehe, I feel like some businessman :D :D

I'm about to be a student at Trondheim Conservatorium of Music. From this autumn I'll begin this four-year study of jazz music and playing. Really looking forward to it...

As for working, I'm a web designer and a graphics proffesional. ;)

Since I've been playing the piano all my life, I know the computer related work is by me almost considered as a hobby. I'm going to be a musician.

i have an IT business and work on PCs

i am also constantly learning new things in life, work, and in college...and i am completing my 23rd year (taking classes on and off since 1980) at the local junior college - one never finishes learning even when one graduates or completes a course of study

right now, i am keeping current by taking a cisco router class two nights a week to help fulfill credits towards a cisco certification by next year and prerequisites to help me continue on with my ongoing graduate school adventure (since '95)

i also have a gardening and landscaping business to help fund all this learning and wandering around the IT landscape

and when i have time, i build model boats, work on a real boat, and play electric guitar (but no amplifier, though)

i must be getting old and my ears can't take heavy volumes anymore:p

I'm a tech... a geek even. I support Mac's and pc's at the company location that I work at. I've been there for about 2-1/2 years now, and am looking to be there for a long, long time...

My job pays enough for me to support my habits of computers and chrome (for the Harley) :D.

Well, the grill was provided by mom and my sister for my b-day last year... I did NOT let them off easy either... got them for a $200+ grill. :D A spare tank helps too, so that you don't run out of gas halfway through a cooking.

There is also my habit of always wanting to 'tweak' the game pc with some piece of hardware... I am waiting for the next generation of video cards to come out before I get a new one... for now the 8500 is just fine.

sometimes those cards cost so darn much that i just buy a new computer

or at least that has been my excuse for ever new gear;)

Well, I paid under $300 for my current video card, and it was just hitting shelves at the time. I will probably wait a month or so after the next set comes out before getting one, so that I can see how they rate and such. I would prefer to stick with ATI, but I am keeping a semi-open mind about it. Which ever offers the best performance per dollar ratio is the one I get.

Oh yeah...definitely! I've lived in New Orleans all my life but never appreciated Jazz until the past couple years. I feel like I've missed out on so much by not discovering it! ;)

If u ever make it down to New Orleans...and u enjoy the music...u would have an awesome time...there are a few hot spots where one can really take in the style...

I'm a computer tech on Campus at SDSU. I work in a foreign language lab where I help take care of 30+ macs, 30+ PC's, Audio/Video equipment, Smart Classrooms and Faculty. Rower is my boss but he's gone for two weeks as of today, so I'll be the only tech there for two weeks.

I'm also a full-time student at SDSU and am studying Computer Science. I'm good with Mac, PC, Unix and some programming, but I don't know what I want to do for a career.

Interestingly for me, i don't have an actual living. I mean, i do live, but i don't go to school or work for income the way other people do. I generally occupy myself with various elaborate uncommonly themed travel adventures. Not that i actually enjoy extended travel; i have several permanent addresses but rarely visit them save for when i am in relative proximity. Mostly i enjoy telling people about what i am, or have just finished, doing.
Currently i am on a terribly successful Safari of the North American Pacific Northwest, mostly coastal, from eugene, oregon to vancouver, british columbia. The goal of this Safari relates to the lushness of the pacific northwest region in that it is to sample the wide variety of local marijuana strains, which are outstanding. the fertility of this region, illustrated in the high amount of rainfall and incredible acreage of old growth forests, allows for spectacular sativa specimens, as well as potent indicas from the northern climes.
the second month of my expedition is coming to a close, and i am as far as seattle, washington. i am forumming this into my powerbook at an internet terminal in a hotel lobby. my phone will be ringing shortly as i am expecting two ounces of the finest bubblegum indica quite soon. then the sun goes down and another weekend is upon us.

long live the ipod.

I work for a pretty big bus company in central NY. I work on the tech end. We have a pretty solid SQL Server running, so I never really have to do much. I really don't like working with PCs, but as long as their letting me sit here all day, and fixing a paper jam or two, I'm not complaining one bit.
