I tried opening Safari... it unexpectedly quits... I think nothing of it and open it again... same thing.
Next, try opening iChat - unexpectedly quits.
It did this for EVERY application I tried opening... thank goodness a logout/log in fixed it but man it was weird.
Has this ever happened to anyone?

relaunching the finder or restarting the computer does wonders, try that first. after that i have no clue :D

Most likely some CoreServices just crashed.. Don't worry, your iBook's not damaged or messed up.

This happens to me once in a while with my iBook.. Just logout/login or restart and it will work once more.
