Hi, my mac has been really snailish lately and I notice a program called Finder is taking up lots of memories can I wipe it from hard drive please?

Haha, no. Finder is what you use to browse/move/copy your files. Without finder, well, you can't do much of anything on your computer.

Sure, go ahead. I'd just be sure have your restore disks on hand before you attempt it though, you'll need 'em afterwards.

Amusingly, despite the april-fools nature of the question, you can actually have another program launch instead of the Finder. My brother used Terminal as his "Finder" for a month or two.

How can you say that Finder is taking up lots of memory if you don't even know how to figure out much it is taking up? Sounds like you really don't know what your talking about.
If this is in fact an April Fools Joke then it should be deleted and you should be suspended from making posts for a period of time.
