WD HD icon disappear

Hi,

I purchase the WD passport not too long ago. Today I experienced that the desktop doesn't show an external hd icon after I plugin. I do see the WD symbol showing at the very top right corner. I would like to know how would I be able to get to my HD again and be able to display that icon when i plug the hd to my computer. Thanks again.

In Finder, click on the Go menu and choose Computer. Everything connected to your computer shows up. Also, go to your finder preferences and choose the General tab. make sure "Show External Drives" on desktop is checked.

Thanks for your respond. I tried that, and it is clicked. I tried to go to my computer, but i still couldn't see my hd. Please help because i have 200GB file in this external hd, but now it seems like I have lost all of them.
