Want to Buy: postscript & ethernet ready laser printer

I'm looking for an inexspensive B&W Laser Printer (600dpi 8 1/2 x 11) for my daughter to do her homework with. The Epson 850ne inkjet just doesn't cut it for extensive text printing.

if you havnt gotten anything yet i may have something, ill look tom when i dont have homework to do, but im pretty sure i can find something, i know i have several applpe laserwriters and maybe an hp or two

do you want ethernet so multiple computers can connect at once?


if that is your desired you have two options besides getting an ethernet interface (which usually is an add-on, $$).

if you have an airport extreme base station, you can connect most usb printers to it and any computer with airport can print to them.

you can use printer sharing, and leave the printer connected to your desktop, then any computer on your network can print to it.

The reason I want it ethernet is because my system is already connected that way. I have an Epson 850ne, my Roadrunner cable modem, and an old Quadra 650 I mess around with, and the G3 I'm on right now, all on a little LAN here at home. I'm going to be getting myself a G4 in the near future and I want my daughter to be able to do her homework in her room with the current G3 (and be connected to Roadrunner) and my wife and I can use the new G4. Without having the ability to go with Airport or have the money to, I just need a postscript and ethernet ready laser printer. I've been pricing new ones and just can't cut right now, so I wanted to see if I could fine a used or refurbished one.
