As the title asks :) Just replaced these two parts so I'm looking to sell them on ebay but have no clue what they go for and don't even know what to search for in ebay (can't just put in Mac DDR3 RAM, heh, it would show results for every brand. I need specifically prices for these two parts)

They go for the same as any other 2,5" 250GB 5400RPM harddrive and 2x1GB DDR3 SODIMMs go for.

If you bother to look at the harddrive and ram it is pretty easy to see which brand they are and much easier to price them accordingly.

The prices are quite low for these parts nowadays. Just doing a quick newegg search a 250GB, 5400RPM hard drive costs like $55-$60, and for 2x1GB kit of DDR3 costs like $28-$30.

Since your parts will be considered "used" (even if you only used it for 1 day people will not want to pay a "new" price for it) you'll probably get like $20 for the 2x1GB and like $40 for the hard drive, if that. Of course, if you find a good buyer who insists of "stock Apple parts for max compatibility" etc. you can maybe get like $30 or so more total.

Considering this you can elect to just keep the original Apple 2x1GB DDR3 sticks of RAM and 250GB hard drive for warranty purposes (most people suggest putting back in stock Apple parts before sending in your Mac for repair since Apple can weasel their way out of the repair saying you used "unauthorized" 3rd-party parts). Heck you can get a cheap $20 external 2.5" USB external enclosure and pop-in that 250GB hard drive for a nice portable storage drive or time machine drive.

I see. Tough choice.

Honestly I never back anything up and never had problems with my 12 years of computing but Time Machine sounds kind of fun. I'll have to do further research on it to see if I should sell or keep then.

Thanks a lot

Asking for pricing info outside of the Marketplace is against forum rules, unfortunately. You risk this thread getting wastelanded.
