Eh, I'm getting bored with mine. Sure it's a great work horse but give me something new.
Something where I can play Pandora in the background, something where I can search for emails, something where I can tether...
iPhone shmiphone big deal...we need something new...something better!

I love it. I tried out a blackberry again (for BBM) and I sure wasn't thinking right. Within a week and a half I went back to the iPhone.

You're on an website created for discussing rumors about a line of computers made by a single company, and you're in the section of that website's forum created for discussing that computer manufacturer's phone. What the hell?

Ya it is.
Like ... you're bored with it. Great. Imagine how bored you'd be with ANY OTHER phone, then.
You ARE indeed obsessing over it. So what, the iPhone doesn't cater to that *precise* need in that *specific* use case (background internet music streaming, while performing other functions).
I mean, it'd be nice if the iPhone could do every last thing that every last person wants with the utmost of ease. Sure, I'd love for cars to get 100 miles to the gallon too. Or for my PVR to adjust itself when a show's time or date changes. Or that my xbox could surf YouTube. Or a million other things. But to be "SICK" of your phone because of that is pretty silly.

If you believe that the iPhone is the end-all, be-all, do-all, I wonder how you function in society at all.
The iPhone is a phone. That's it. The iPod is a music player. That's it. Both are better than most, neither are a way of life.

Nice to see people are keeping on topic...err not.
Am I sick of my iPhone? In some ways yes. It's instability, dropped calls, lag, etc is very tiring. I also think there needs to be more personalization allowed. Themes, graphics and other stuff that can be done via jailbreaking would be cool. I know this is never going to happen though.
The iPhone still remains the best phone in the world, no doubt.

You need to get out more often and actually have physical interactions with humans.
But I thought the Internet replaced the need for physical interaction, instead letting us speak of the wonders of our devices one day, then five days later complain about how utterly useless they are?
At least he and others like him will buy our way out of this recession.

Okay, you're trolling has now entered "too obvious" territory.
You had us for a while, but now I must award a 'moderate' grade of 6/10 on the trolling scale - only because you got a few bites on the first page, otherwise it'd be lower.

I did the same thing but with the G1. Returned it on exactly the 30th day of my return period. I wanted to give it a chance, but I just couldn't do it. The iPhone is so much better, whether or not the G1 has more features.
Things that I couldn't do without:
1. iTunes syncing.
2. Dock connector to plug into my car.
3. Headphone jack.
4. Multitouch.
5. More than 3 homepages
6. Proper IMAP client that doesn't make its own sent items folder.
7. On screen keyboard for one handed texting while driving

Haha, this thread makes absolutely no sense. Okay so you're bored of the phone? Did you expect a phone to fill you with excitement every single day of your life? It was exciting in the beginning, it's exciting when big updates come out; but other than that, I hope you all can look somewhere in your life other than your phone for that excitement you crave..

That's why you would never want a perfect phone. Because even though you'd have it, you would get bored with it after a while.

If you are sick of a phone that doubles up as an ipod, plays movies, tv shows and allows you to download thousands of apps and games that are designed specifically to utilize the phone's technology- then i doubt any other phone on the market will satisfy your needs.

You realize two of your three complaints in your original post are addressed in 3.0, right? If you're that bored not being able to search emails and tether and can't wait until summer then drop $99 and get the beta. Or maybe a dev on here will add you.

No but really, many people are guilty of the occasional text while driving. Is it recommended? Obviously not, if you're looking down at your phone instead of the road, you're luck will run out eventually and you'll hit something or worst yet someone. If you must text because its an emergency, then pull over. Otherwise the text will still be there when you stop driving.
Amateur. :p I type without looking at my iPhone, and if I do need to look at it, I raise it above the steering wheel so I don't have to look down.

It really doesn't matter if you're holding it up on your steering wheel or not. You're still looking at something else besides the road. I recommend not putting it up to your face as it makes it kind of obvious to the fuzz that you're texting.
