Somone wanted me to join their clan, but they wanted me to download teamspeak to communicate through a USB mic. I saw the program was only available for windows and linux. Is it possible to run this app with panthers new x11 application?
teamspeak download is on the top right of this page

No, you're still using a PPC machine, not x86. Teamspeak is x86 only, even if youre running Linux. Also, Linux doesn't run on X11, as far as I know. Even if it does, I doubt it would have direct hardware access as would be required by a voice app running in Linux.

Well, there’s nothing as good as Teamspeak. There used to be RogerWilco, but it only ran in OS 9 and I don’t know if it still works.
I guess you‘ll have to wait, because the new Teamspeak version will have full Mac support as the developers announced some time ago, but it will still take quite some time, I guess.

Some people recommend KDX and use the voice chat feature. Some people use iChat to do a one-on-one voice chat.

I know that GameRanger has Voice chat built in but its only for premium members ($50/year) and the app is only available for Mac. So for cross platform stuff... you gotta wait for TS or Ventrilo.

The server is available for the Mac. There's no reason to say they abandoned us... yet. ;)
No, but I think we'll be sure to see a port one of these days.

The server app has been out for AGES.
