Point of Torrent Downloading?

Hey I was looking for logic express 8 and I found a torrent. Lots of people downloaded it. But what I wanna know is why are people buying it legit when it's very easy to get it free but illegal.

What's keeping people from downloading it from torrents?

Honesty, Integrity, and Respect for the developers who created the software makes people pay for their software instead of stealing it. :P

What others have said, but also peace of mind knowing their version isn't infected with a virus or trojan or some other malware.
