Just used this to plan my journey for tomorrow.
Its pretty cool. Leaving at 06:25, twenty minute break for coffee, ten for non-cruising speed, should reach at 08:25. Perfect!

Dude, if this is the developer AGAIN, cut it out.

MacRumors just took down a similar post clearly from the developer, and it's obnoxious, frankly.

You really should just post saying 'Hey, I released a new app, feel free to check it out. Feedback welcome'. You're even encouraged to post promo codes on the code sharing sub-forum.

I just downloaded this today. I've only just joined up here so i don't know about any previous post your talking about.

If true, then no offense... Besides, what I called obnoxious was the original POSTING, which was removed. I'll bring you up to speed.

The developer created an ID here (MaxiMil) that was suggestive of his company name (M2P2S) and personal name (Maulik M. Shah aka MMS aka M2S). He posted a thread just like yours, praising this new app. I called him on it, MacRumors took down his post and ID.

All of his positive reviews for his apps are from a similar ID.

And they have content that would only come from the developer.

And they are extremely glowing reviews, from an app that frankly doesn't look worthy based on screenshots and the other reviewers. The only reviews that reviewer posted are for M2's apps. The website is terrible with broken links, etc.

Your only thread was to bring up this app "Cruise Control is Cool". Very similar to the original post. Your ID, just created, MidFlightS (MFS) isn't a big leap.

It's suspicious. MacRumors staff can check on your email and IP to see if it matches. If not, no worries, but as a user, you ought to appreciate when other reviewers make sure developers are being kept in check.

Glad you find it useful, but I would never ever download such an app, even if it was free.

You really think that someone would use an app on the iPhone to plan his "35 minutes to reach work" with "a five minutes stop to pick up doughnuts"? Seriously? :eek:
