Well, I always get on in the morning when I'm drinking my coffee(which I'm doing now). Then I try to check the boards sometime during the day if I can....but lately I havent had too much time, and I prolly wont for a while.
Then I get on sometimes when I get home if Im not going out soon after.
The other time I'm usually on is late at night for the 1-2am EST posting crowd, which is fun like last night with the whole boxers/briefs thread.
Other then that its really whenever...

But with the summer in season and no class I will be posting a lot, especially today and tomorrow, before the family and I are off to Maine for a litle less than a month.

I dont know about upstate, but in the city it's been really REALLY hot and like 90-100% humidity.

It's also hot and humid in MA... At least where I am (and just about every part of MA that has people I know). We MIGHT get a little relief tomorrow, but then back into the oven for Sunday and the rest of the week... ick
Good thing I picked up the new AC yesterday. It has a built in timer and actually uses real temperatures, no more grades of red to blue for me. :D
King Cobra
Jun 28, 2002, 07:37 PM
I think whoever has an AC in the NE end will need it during the summer. He!!, I'm in paradise! I have a supercomputer, AC, about 5 hand clocks...it's absolute paradise. Those w/o ACs need to spend the $400 freggin' dollars.
In my area it can get really steamy and hot. Hey, it did this past February, when our area hit the 80s (I think). And that was f!!king winter. Now, it's summer, and people's hair roots are becoming aqueous w/o ACs!
AlphaTech
Jun 28, 2002, 07:58 PM
yeah... People could also go to Best Buy before Sunday and get the AC's for less... 10% off sale this week. I picked up mine for about $280 (after tax). It's an 8000 btu unit, that is cooling my ~450 square foot apartment quiet nicely.
I just checked the weather channel... pretty good tomorrow and Sunday (low 80s), but then back up into the high 80's and low 90's during the day (ick) for the rest of the week and into next weekend.
I hate the summer.
King Cobra
Jun 28, 2002, 08:05 PM
Actually, Tech, you might like the summer, as I have seen more people wearing sandles and T-shirts. Then there are those wearing a  , an :) and a :D
My room stays ice cold, as I have my own AC. And I need it, considering that it is the top floor of the house and that it can get up to 37ºC up here. (Uh, for us Americans :) that's around 90.) Now I know how it feels to make my parents suffer from the heat downstairs with a crappy AC [evil laugh]
As for the weekend, I will be going to Maine for a lot of the summer, starting June 30. Even there, though, it gets rather hot. However, our apratment up there has a s!!k !!!! AC, which seems to act as a really loud noise maker, instead of cooling the damn place down.

Last summer in London the night's were ultra muggy....... I couldn't stand it..... I don't mean to step on anyone's toes here...but when I was in tech school I held 2 jobs the entire time (for a brief few weeks I actually had 3 jobs). I worked my internship in the morning, went to school during the day, then worked my night job, plus had a pain in the ass girlfriend to deal with <shudder>.

Ok...I took a first real job as a stock clerk in a shoe store when I was 15. I eventually became part of the management and finally resigned from the company when I was 19. Being Al Bundy wasn't always so bad, it honestly helped build some social skills I hadn't quite developed on my own...plus every now & then u would catch some hottie who didn't know how to sit without...ahem...exposing herself? :D
I held a job at an Eckerd Express Photolab for about 2 years. Definitely wasn't the most glamorous job either, but I had a lot of fun while I was there. Had I no plans for the future, I could have joined management there as well.
I also had an internship with WDSU-TV 6, the NBC affiliate here in New Orleans. I learned how to use station equipment such as a Quantel Paintbox & a Sony Beta-Max (for those who don't know, it's a Beta box). I eventually created all of the graphics for the daily news show...very...very exciting stuff to see your work broadcast live on tv! :D I also got to sit through many video productions, help out with actual shoots, and got a small taste of computer video editing in a Media 100 editing suite.
The Eckerd & WDSU gigs I did both while handling 18 hours of classes at tech school. I worked roughly 12-13 hour days every day, Mon-Fri...along with weekend time for the Photolab job. I didn't get paid for my internship, so I had to get as many hours as I could witht he Photolab. All together I was averaging about between 55-70 hours a week total, depending on what I had going on with the Photolab.

All together I was averaging about between 55-70 hours a week total, depending on what I had going on with the Photolab.
you get around man. good job. keep it up.

I failed to mention how I started DJing when I was 14. I used to do house parties & a few school dances. Damn that was such a good time! :D
