How much is my 2008 MacBook worth?

I bought a MacBook last September. After taking a look at it, my mom said that she wanted a Mac. I told I would sell this one to her. I paid about $1200 dollars for it on an education discount, but since it is several months old, how much is it worth now?

I was thinking of charging $800 for it but I would like to know whether that would be over/under-charging

Specifications:

White laptop with black protective cover.

2.1 Ghz. CPU

160 GB HDD

1 GB of RAM

iWork purchased with the computer

I'd probably just give it to my mom...

If she insisted on paying, I'd take $500 tops. I don't think she should have to buy it from me, but that's just me I guess.

That was my first thought, but then, a few days ago, she offered to buy it from me. That way, I could buy another one. :D

I think $900 should be good enough, If i was you a push for the $1000, but thats just me being greddy :D
