My friends fall into 3 categories:
1) Those who hate Macs
2) Those who don't comment since they know nothing of computers
3) Those who like Macs but are afraid to buy one :confused:

my friends think i'm just a major geek with too much free time...

my friends got used to seeing me using library computers when I should have been revising, but would come up to me, roll their eyes, and ask me if I was checking Macrumors again . I may not have posted much, but I do read this site a helluva lot!

I just remembered, about the Geeklord .

I wouldn't say a Mac-user can be a geek lord. We never have to do half of the delving into BIOS etc that Windows users do, and therefore the majority of us could never fully enter the Geek Nobility

Nobody thinks I'm a geek because of macrumors. It just adds to it.

But anyway, some of my friends are Hardcore Apple freaks. We talk about the rumors on webpages all the time...to them, I'm normal.

Others hate macs, but are also geeks...the darkside of geeks. We argue a lot, but they goto other geeky sites for pcs...

My girlfriend thinks my geekness is cute...until I get whatever tower they release soon...cause she's already jealous of the time I will spend with it...

Then there are others who know not of my posting...but theres plenty of other things fo them to call me a geek. :D

That sounds a lot like my girlfriend. She wants a Mac since I've indoctrinated her over the past two years :D . In fact, it's really great that she's a part-time Mac Evangelista because it gives me an ally in my debates with Windows-using friends!

MY GF likes my geekness except when I tell her that I've been up until 5.30am playing Unreal Tournament.

Again, I can't wait to see her again, but she started a new job today and I'm not going to see her much at all over the next 3 months until we both restart university term in late September :(

By then, for them at least, it will be too late. They will die, go to hell, find out it is full of dell computers and run by bill gates. :D His second in command will be that dell commercial kid... :D

My friends and family don't think I am a geek because of this site. They know I am an über-geek because I can fix both Mac's and peecee's. Hell, I even do some tech assistance for fellow geek's here. :D
