You seem to be under the impression that I'm a pro-windows individual. Actually, I think all the OS's on the market are massively flawed and just find Windows to be the path of least resistance (It's also the only one that runs Dawn of War). Windows doesn't run as well (usually, under the right circumstances you get it perfect), Many elements of OS X's ui are counter productive when I'm trying to actually make something, and Linux is... all over the place.

The reason I prefer Windows (translation: hate it less) is that it's flaws are related to it simply not running well (unless the planets align, which I have pulled off in the past), versus my issues with OS X which are 100% intentional design decisions that are never going to change.

IIT, I'm just anti-misinformation.

btw, Mac do get viruses. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEjFCcOZWn8)

I believe that Macs *can* get viruses; it's just that they tend to *not* get viruses (this os directed to the OP). Mine do not have viruses, and this is with zerro effort on my part. None of my XP machines ever had a virus, but I had to devote a lot of time, effort and money into this (anti virus software, anti spy/mal software and firewall).

I know which option I would take in PC/Mac :)

Why are you even posting this? This is a Mac forum and most people on her will vouch for OSX. I personally use OSX as my main OS but I do use Windows in VMware for things that require Windows. If you're a "pro-windows individual", just go use Windows..

Windows flaws are related to the fact the it's just a big blob of code.
Unix, on the other hand can actually be called technology.

-Silly video
-This isn't the right forum

And if you want to use windows, go for it....we're not going to come make you use OS X.

Lots of people here use OS X because it works best for them

Always lots of people claiming OS X can catch viruses but nobody can ever post proof.

Yet the architecture of OS X makes it more difficult for malware to break in. And Windows protection? A mediocre antispyware, a firewall and a UAC thingie which 70% of nowaday's malware can bypass? If you call that protection...

Posting about the pros and cons of various operating systems and debating this issue in a civil way is perfectly acceptable. However, we ask that you please use MacRumors to discuss the issue, not engage in creating "me against the world" threads. If you need to play king of the hill, you can do it on your blog. To discuss any of the substantive (being generous here), use one of the many threads on these topics, which you can find by searching.

P.S. I'm typing this from XP/SP3.
