Hi

I have been thinking of "switching" for at least a month now. I can get edu. prices to lower the cost or the products. Here are the Macs i'm looking at

-12" 1.33 Super (stock) +256 chip
1700

-15" 1ghz Combo (stock, new, previous model) +256 chip
about 1700

-15" 1ghz Super (stock Titanium, refurb)
1700

What would you people recomend for me (video editting, internet, presentations, etc). When you buy refurb does it come with all the acessories and software that a new one would such as s-video to composite adapter adapter and omni outliner?

Thanks,
Eric

I'd go for the 15" refurb with superdrive if you don't have a DVD burner on any computer. If you have a DVD burner, I would get the 15" neew model. The larger screen size the better for video editing, but that's just my opinion.

Here's a listing of the software included with powerbooks:
http://www.apple.com/powerbook/software.html
OmniOutliner is included.

S-video to composite adapter comes with the 15" and 17" powerbook:
http://www.apple.com/powerbook/specs.html

You should ask when ordering to make sure that the adapter is included with the previous generation of pb as well.

Good luck.

i'd vote for option 1 or 2.

re-analyze how much you will use the superdrive, because, its one of two things: 1) you will use it all the time or 2) you will pay for it, and then hardly ever use it.
