I came accross this announcement from another site.

http://www.tech-junkie.com/

They say that Asus has will be releasing a new motherboard that supports Serial ATA and Agp 8x.

Any rumors as to whether or not Apple will implement this technology next year. I would love to see it.

...was at a presentation on the XServe and the presenter mentioned that Apple was working on it, and to expect something later this year (I can't remember the exact quote, but it was at least reasonably similar to this). So I would guess that at MWSF 2003 we'll see a computer with a G5, DDR, SerialATA, USB2, and FireWire2. Conveniently, that's right when I plan to get a new comp to replace my beige G3. :)
