Done.

I'm curious about the Freeway questions at the end - any particular reason that was singled out?

Hi, glad you asked, Basically Softpress came to my Uni and we had a meeting with the MD Richard Logan and he proposed to my tutors that a good end of year project would be to find out since its inception in 1997(the same year as Dreamweaver by the way) why freeway hasn't yet acheived mainstream market penetration.The reward for the best report is that the campaign chages the student implements may be used by Softpress and you also get recognition on the web site.

I am at the moment writing a 4000 word report which includes analysis of the brand ID, marketing strategy used by Softpress/the PR compnay used and also my own research, which is where you guys come in!

It is very interesting so far that all the people who have taken the survey only one actually used freeway.Just by doing a quick pop quiz and my Uni in london no one had heard of freeway.

A major cause for concern me thinks...

any thanks to everyone who has given up time to take it ;)

Ah, so marketing research. Cool. :)

You might want to touch up the link in your sig to something like:
Web designers, please take my survey (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=91726487638
).

Filled it in earlier, although the last page consisted of "never heard of it" :) I would imagine it's quite difficult for a company that size to get known especially when the competitors are Adobe and Macromedia, who have major market share in related design areas. If someone asks for a WYSIWYG editor i automatically think of Dreamweaver.

Personally I wouldn't have a use for it as everything I do is heavily PHP based now. I can imagine that quite a lot of medium-large sites would completely dynamic now.

On your first question you listed only Mac and PC. What about Linux? Oh, btw:
Mac=PC
Linux=PC
Windows =PeeCee

Hi guys, thanks for all the input I have now closed the survey and have intergrated the results into my report.

I only put Mac and PC because its the generic terms for platform hardware not operating systems that most people understand or use,you say tomato i tomateo etc I have been so tired this week that was the last of my concerns, I am sorry if I offended you linux guys!;)

That question was included to see the distrubution across the board of users who had access to both.
R and D costs have to be taken in to account if Softpress decide to go cross platform.if alot of you guys had heard of freeway but were only using PC's then there might be a case for it .But since no one had heard of it... oh well
