How about a set top box home version of Xserve with a built in Cable Tuner to catch your shows to DVR, with WiFi tablet Macs to view it all or surf the web? TV or web in Kitchen or Bed? Who dat says convergence is dead? Not the people at IEEE spectrum....

Keep in mind who owns Moxi now, and the Tablet mac rumors of late (that would be a great way to go up against the commodity priced PCs, if there was a Mac OS thin client could be priced less than an iMac)

My straw man for the day. Enjoy!

those are VERY tricky products to price effectively. on one hand they cost alot to make and offer alot of cool things. on the other, anything around $1000 and people are given to the rationale that a fullfledged laptop computer can be had in the same price range.
