Canon XL-1 video camera in NTSC format and mint condition. Barely used. Need to liquidate.

Will someone please buy it?
The camera is in pristine condition. It also has the Lightwave Systems windcover for the microphone. I will ship the camera with the original foam cover so you don't lose it. The windcover will be in the box separately. Easy to install.
I will throw in a firewire cable for free. I will ship the remote without AAA batteries because I don't want to risk a leak that will destroy the remote.
I don't have the original box.
Essentially, you will be getting everything that came with the camera except the original freebee miniDV tapes that Canon provides with the camera. BUT, I will throw in 2 free miniDV tapes just because you are a fellow MacRumors member.
AM I COOL OR WHAT??? :D

Come on, I need money for some further schooling that I want to pursue. I worked my ass off for 2 summers to get this camera. But I have other priorities now.
Asking 2200. BEFORE YOU SCOFF, GO TO EBAY AND SEE HOW MUCH IT'S SELLING FOR. THIS IS A VERY NICE PRICE.

I DO PAYPAL FOR OUR MUTUAL ASSURANCE AND PROTECTION!

Price and specs would be nice to know, I am also looking for a video camera and need firewire and some form in night vision, infrared being optimal.

The xl1 has no night vision or infra red. It has slow shutter settings (1/8, 1/15, 1/30 sec) but nothing that's like sony's night shot. I will say it is one of the best prosumer cameras out there. I had one for about a year and a half and loved it.

Darn, right now I am looking at a Sony that has Zero Lux nightvision with infrared, that new three chip design for improved colors and the works. I need the night vision because I am looking to document the different haunted areas of Saint Augustine as a summer project.

Well, there is a big aftermarket for the XL-1 so if you look around I'm sure there will be something. Just look in Videographer magazine or something of the like.

All right. I've lowered my asking price. It's still an outstanding offer for a camera like this.
All you video enthusiasts and pros step up and consider.
