how many ram slots are used as standard?

Hi all,

i'm looking to upgrade my ram with some memory from crucial and was just wondering if both slots are used for the standard 1 gb my alu iMac came with?

also, is it worth going to 4 gb?

OP, please read the other thread you posted. The information is the same for the uMBP and the iMac.

arr ok.. i thought it might have been different for the iMac as it only has 1gb ram as standard... hence me asking in the iMac section ;)
