View Full Version : Can we all agree on a spelling for the new phone?

Or at least most of us?

I've seen tons different spelling for the new iPhone. 3GS, 3Gs, 3G[S], 3G S, 3G [S], etc.

Can we (or most of us) agree on a spelling to use? Half the time I read "3Gs" I think of the plural of last years iPhone instead of what the author intended, the newest phone. Apple uses 3GS on their site (they do now at least.) so I suggest we use that spelling/capitalization. (I know there are some people who apparently refuse to use proper grammar or at least they choose not to, so I don't expect everyone to use whatever is decided.)

Yeah, I was really bothered by this subject. There should be a poll for this.

Oh, and an awareness parade.

I'll distribute the pamphlets and the literature.

Finally, a post on an important issue in this forum. The misspelling of the 3GS NEEDS TO STOP. How many times have I seen 3gs and just wanted to scream. Even worse, 3 G S......OMG!!!! What's happening to this country!!

In one thread I saw it spelled Palm Pre.. That drove me NUTZ!

seriously? You don't know what people mean when they post 3G S instead of 3G[S] (or whatever)? :confused:

A commonly agreed upon spelling, preferably of the simplest variety, will aid in future searches, which is another thing that people around here commonly complain about, so the topic does have some merit. (:

Apple has changed from 3G S to 3GS. So it's 3GS.
